The motor pulleys on the evaporation cooler may start to wear and twist over time.
When this happens, it makes the pulley squeak and brings more problems to the device.
It is not difficult to replace the pulley;
It can be done in about an hour.
The pulley is connected to the motor shaft with a fixed screw and can be replaced using some common tools.
Before starting, turn off the breaker switch in the breaker box. Close the shut-
Close the valve to stop the water supply of the cooler.
By lifting the back plate of the cooler up and away from the equipment, remove the back plate of the cooler.
Loosen the bolt that holds the motor on the motor support with a socket wrench.
Do not remove the bolts;
Just release them and the motor can slide forward on the stand.
Remove the belt from the motor pulley.
Loosen the fixing screw on the pulley shaft between the pulley and the motor with an Allen wrench.
Remove the pulley from the shaft and move it away.
Connect the new pulley to the motor shaft, tighten the fixing screw with an Allen wrench and place the belt around the new pulley.
Pull the motor back with a small crowbar and apply tension to the belt.
Tighten the bolt that holds the motor to the motor bracket with a socket wrench.
Connecting the back plate of the cooler.
Re-open the water at the closing valve.
Turn on the circuit breaker switch again.
